New payment method for Odex VOD credits/points

28 09 2007

After all the complaining and complaining about Odex’s original payment method for the VOD service, Paypal, Odex has removed that option.

However, they replaced it with another method that isn’t any improvement, eNets. And removed all other options. -_-”
The new payment method is like a more complicated and potentially dangerous version of Paypal, since Odex is using a third-party, 12epay, which requires you to give out even more of your information like phone numbers and personal details more than what is transmitted through Paypal transactions, and which seems to have no encryptions at all. *

I urge you not to follow what I’m about to do!

You have to go through 3 steps at the 12epay link that Odex gives at its Help page, which I will go through now.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu fanvid and more Odex failures

26 09 2007

I was thinking of blogging about this little fanvideo of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, when I decided to check out my Blog Surfer.
And guess what? This was the little tidbit I found.

Odex copied a.f.k.’s subs wholesale. Or more like, very heavily referenced.

Apparently, Chraen remembered to switch on the TV to tune in to Ch 56 and watch the premièring of Haruhi(which I totally forgot about..).

Well, I won’t attack Odex on their dubbing, since contrary to what The New Paper thinks, I had no expectations for that in the first place.

But Odex. Still copying fansubs even after all the ballyhoo about admitting to your own mistakes in using fansubs as reference?

*sigh*

There’s no end to the (0.0)y -ing.

On the other note;

Crunchyroll’s admin Shinji put up the Mai HiMe promo on the Featured Media section on the frontpage, which made me go OMG more Mai HiME?!?! when it was just the old ecchi promo. /sad

Sadly, since the Haruhi fanvideo is on Crunchyroll, there’s no way I can embed it here. So go over to CR and watch the fanvid there.

Negima!: Magister Negi Magi Live Action Drama trailer!

23 09 2007

WooHoo! It’s finally here!

Official Website:  http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/negima-drama/index.html

My reaction was OMFG! They actually have finished filming the entire thing! The starting camera was a little shaky, and the entire thing reeked of Harry Potter with the background music and setting. However, it gave me a renewed enthusiasm for the Negima! series. Asuna looks pretty good, and her fight with Ayaka was just funny and great. Asu-baka!

Some points to note though; Read the rest of this entry »
